iKOU QVB named 2017 Store Of The Year!

The iKOU store in Sydney's Queen Victoria Building (QVB) has been named 2017 Store of the Year by the Retail Design Institute at their 47th Awards Gala & Fundraiser in New York City. It's a tremendous award for a breathtaking design by Pinto Tuncer who topped the list of 115 entrants.

Key comments from the judges note the role of Pixalux® in helping the store to realise the brilliant design through "technology that supports rather than dominates, and on-point lighting design echoing the natural, sustainable design concept".

There are 60 Pixalux® illuminated shelves lining the perimeter walls to display the products, providing illumination above and below creating a floating ethereal appearance. Each shelf was specially made with the two rear banks being fully curved to suit the profile of the room.

Locally, iKOU QVB was also awarded the best interior fit-out under $150k by the Australian Shop & Office Fitting Industry Association (ASOFIA). For a store brimming with unique and innovative Pixalux® Structural Light Panels, it is excellent value for money!

Congratulations to all involved on an excellent project! This innovative design showcases the core strengths of Pixalux® which "supports rather than dominates" ensuring the store design and products are the stars of the show.
